European Open: Andy Murray beats Marius Copil to reach semi-finals

Britains Andy Murray achieved his first ATP semi-final with a victory over Marius Copil in the European Open since 2017.
Three-time Grand Slam champion Murray came through 6-3 6-7 (7-9) 6-4 in 2 hours 35 minutes from Antwerp.
The Scot held match point before Copil fought and served for the match.
On the other hand, the 32-year-old made the decisive break to make it to the previous four.
Murray will face either Argentine Guido Pella or Ugo Humbert of France in the semi-finals of Saturday.
Its the former world number one because the 2017 French Open, when he lost to Stan Wawrinka.
It turned out to be a tough one to get through. Thankfully I was able to get the break at the ending, Murray explained.

After beating the Copil in a gruelling match of Romania in the Washington Open in 2018 murray broke down in tears.
His forehand faltered when he first attempted to serve out the game, although murray, continued his return moved well when coming up to the internet.
He led the resulting and had a match point at 7-6, however, Copil forced a decider with some serving.
In a set that was tight, Murray converted his second break point to have a 5-4 lead, before wrapping up success with his ace of the match.
Antwerp is very likely to be his final tournament of this year, together with the exception of their Davis Cup, for which Great Britain will declare their squad on Monday.
He could leave early when Kim, his wife, goes with their kid right into labour.
Earlier, 18-year-old Jannik Sinner of Italy achieved his first ATP semi-final with a 6-4 triumph over American Frances Tiafoe.
Sinner, whos likely to break in the worlds top 100 will face Switzerlands Wawrinka from another semi-final.
